National Truck Driver Appreciation Week Has Begun
The American Trucking Association is holding its annual National Truck Driver Appreciation Week from Sep 11 to Sep 17 this year. According to ATA, the goal of the week-long event is to demonstrate that shippers, carriers and the industry overall appreciate the job 3.5 million American truck drivers do. Chris Spear, president and CEO of ATA, says that truck drivers provide one of the most essential services to the country shipping important goods on time, and the demand for these services only keeps growing. National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is the time for the industry to thank these hard working people for doing their work while keeping safety a priority.
