In Florida, you qualify as a base jurisdiction if:
- Your business is physically located in Florida
- You maintain operational records in Florida (or make them available upon request)
- Your vehicles accumulate mileage in at least two or more IRP jurisdictions (for example Florida and Georgia)
IRP Requirements in Florida

Once your application is approved, you’ll receive apportioned plates - license plates recognized by all IRP member states and provinces - along with a cab card that lists the jurisdictions you’re registered to operate in and your estimated mileage in each.
